Congestion Charging

• Is it true that the London congestion charge is going to increase from £5 to £8?? Seems a bit steep.

  It is indeed going up. Although I think that is a good thing. Take the bike to work... Be healthy, help the environment and save money.

  At present, no other city does. Although many of the major UK cities had plans for such charges following the success of London's, Edinburgh held a local referendum which the public voted against having a congestion charge. As such, most city councils seem to have put the issue on the backburner for the time being.
