I feel it was inappropriate of Das to have posted such a comment in a forum. Rest assured Dubai is a very safe place to visit or stay.
The work environment is generally like any other place as it is mostly expats who work in private sector companies/multinationals.
I work as Finance Manager with a large group and have a very congenial work environment. I like to show new expats around UAE during the weekends. This gives me an opportunity to make friends from different countries and get to know different cultures. I moved to Dubai in 2003 and find it an amazing place to live.
